ESN Torino is proud to acknowledge and highlight its partnership with GTT (Gruppo Torinese Trasporti), a collaboration that has greatly supported our mission to welcome, guide and integrate international students into the social and cultural fabric of Turin.

As a non-profit student organisation run by over 50 committed volunteers, ESN Torino assists approximately 2,000 international students every year. Our activities are rooted in the principle of “Students Helping Students”, providing newcomers with opportunities for cultural enrichment, personal growth and social connection. Through cultural events, city tours, recreational gatherings, volunteering initiatives and community-building activities, we work to ensure that international students feel included, supported and empowered during their stay in Turin.

Our initiatives are guided by the values promoted by the EU 2030 Agenda, including:

  • international cooperation and intercultural dialogue,
  • active citizenship and engagement with local communities,
  • environmental and social sustainability,
  • accessibility and inclusion for all students, regardless of background,
  • and the promotion of diversity as a fundamental strength.

In this context, our partnership with GTT has represented a significant added value. Public transport is one of the most essential services for international students as they settle into a new city, and GTT’s collaboration has helped make mobility in Turin more accessible, understandable and student-friendly for our community.

GTT’s support was particularly impactful during our major event held from 12 to 14 June, called Piattaforma Nazionale Torino 2025 - La Piattaforma Molecolare, which brought together international students, volunteers and local stakeholders. Through visibility initiatives, promotional support and coordinated communication, GTT contributed to improving the experience of participants and ensuring that key information reached the student community effectively. This collaboration strengthened the bond between our organisations and demonstrated how institutions and student associations can work together for the benefit of the entire territory.

Beyond the specific event, GTT’s involvement has helped international students better navigate Turin’s transport network, encouraging sustainable mobility and facilitating their integration into everyday life in the city. The visibility and credibility provided by GTT in our joint initiatives also reinforced our shared commitment to inclusion, accessibility and community engagement.

ESN Torino looks forward to continuing and expanding this meaningful collaboration with GTT. Together, we can further enhance the experience of international students in Turin, promote sustainable urban mobility and strengthen the connection between the local community and the thousands of young people who choose our city as their temporary home.
