People say it’s not the winning that counts but how you play the game, and through commitment and dedication you can achieve concrete results. We chose to put ourselves on the line by nominating ESN Torino for the ESN Star Awards in four categories, gaining recognition for our hard work.

ESN Torino claimed the top spot in the ‘Best Outgoing Support Service category, thanks to our conference series in collaboration with Transiti – Psicologia di Espatrio, a recognized association of psychologists. This initiative, developed in partnership with the University of Turin, aimed to shed light on the often-overlooked psychological complexities of international mobility. The project tackled key challenges such as adaptation anxiety, fear of inadequacy, and the risk of social isolation. Through informative seminars and psychological support, we provided students with the tools they needed to approach their mobility experience with confidence and peace of mind, reducing the chances of withdrawals due to unprocessed doubts and uncertainties.

Our commitment to meaningful partnerships also earned us the gold medal forBest Institutional Partnership, a   recognition of our strong ties with EDISU Piemonte since 2022.

In collaboration with CROUS Versailles, we worked   throughout 2024 on initiatives to make university campuses more sustainable, both environmentally and socially. This   partnership will extend into 2025, expanding its focus to themes such as cultural integration, appreciation of diversity and   gender identity, personal skill development, and the promotion of active citizenship and social responsibility.

We are also honored to have secured third place in theBest Section Event category for an initiative within the Be a  Changemaker for a European Sustainable Campus project. Developed with EDISU Piemonte and CROUS Versailles, this  initiative promoted sustainability among university students, providing both training opportunities for partner organization  staff and a shared transnational learning space for young people.

Lastly, in the category concerning the most active section in advocacy and awareness campaigns — competing against  all 53 ESN sections in Italy — ESN Torino proudly took home the bronze medal.

These achievements mark a significant milestone for ESN Torino, reaffirming our dedication to supporting students and continuously enhancing the quality of their mobility experience.

We look forward to carrying this momentum forward and creating even more impactful projects in the years to come!
