ESN TORINO
WHO WE ARE
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Torino is a non-profit student organisation.
Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of "Students Helping Students".
Thanks to the collaboration with universities in Piemonte, the association welcomes and enrolls more than 700 students from all over the country every year.
Through recruitment events (organized every six months), the association now has more than 50 volunteer members from all student realities in Piemonte.
LET'S TALK ABOUT US
ESN Torino was born on 7th October 2016 from a group of university students returning from their Erasmus mobility, where they had known the reality of ESN, and applied to join the international network.
From 11 to 13th November 2016, ESN Torino took for the first time a group of international students on a trip to participate in the Erasmus Cultural Meeting organized in Rome together with other Italian sections.
On 18th March 2017, with 51 votes out of 51, ESN Torino officially enters the network.
WHAT WE DO
Nowadays, our section is accredited by the Municipality of Turin.
Our aim is to organize cultural, sports, recreational, and social activities for the 2,000 international students who choose Turin as their mobility destination every year, providing totally free support.
We are students who, following the principle of "Students Helping Students," assist exchange students in making the most of their mobility experience and leaving an international mark on the Turin community.
We are committed to promoting international mobility, active citizenship, and volunteering, as well as spreading European values and pursuing our causes, inspired by the European Union’s 2030 Agenda, such as international cooperation, integration with local communities, environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and respect for diversity.
Over time,
the small section of Turin has grown enormously,
both in terms of number of volunteers and from the point of view of international students participating in the activities of the association,
establishing itself in the Italian network and gaining prestige in the city context.
